Radio-controlled slope mower Spider Cross Liner is the newest product in the Spider range. It is the smallest of the Spider mowers, however with its climbing ability and manoeuvrability, the Spider Cross Liner Lite does not lag far behind the commercial models Spider ILD01 and ILD02. Spider Cross Liner Lite is based on the same idea as the other models, but it is newly fitted with unique chain drive portals, which ensures reliable maintenance-free operation and a lower centre of gravity, making the machine simpler and cheaper.
The Spider Cross Liner Lite is designed for the needs of customers who have only an occasional need for mowing steep slopes and difficult terrain, but also need a comfortable and safe mower for general landscape or garden mowing.

CUTTING DECK |
- The deck body and super structure is made from aluminium alloy to obtain minimum overall weight of 163 kg
- Deck is fitted with a marine ply bumper to protect from bumps and scrapes
- Blade is engaged via the remote
- Cutting is done by a single mulching blade
- Overall cutting width is 650mm (26 inches)
- The mulching blade is set well within the deck body to minimise the ejection of grass and debris during mowing.
- The blade is thick hard blade steel
DRIVE AND STEERING |
- A hydrostatic drive system provides continuously variable travel speed 0 to 4.8 km/h, in forward and reverse
- All 4 wheels are driven by the hydraulic motor. All speed, steering and direction controls are located on the operator's wireless remote control
- Steering is 360 degrees on all 4 wheels without lock-to-lock limits
- Tyres are lugged 13 x 5 x 6 tube tyres
- The Spider Mower is capable of cutting on slopes up to 35 degrees under its own wheel drive
- The normal steering mode is referred to as the "dancing" step and is the mode normally used for mowing.
- In this mode all 4 wheels turn at the same time
REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM |
- The controller comes with a belt strap and is normally strapped to the operator as two-hand operation is required
- If the controller is dropped or all hands released, the controls revert to the neutral position and the Spider mower stops driving
- Controls include engine start, stop; E-stop, forward/reverse speed control, steering controls and blade engagement

OPTIONS
Integrated Winch System |
- The winch is hydraulically powered and integrated with the drive system
- At extreme angles, the winch system provides machine stability, traction and prevents rollover
- The integrated winch control is automatically synchronised with the drive wheel control, and does not require any additional operator controls
- The winch also maintains the engine orientation to ensure engine lubrication
- Extraordinary as it is, this is a 55 degree slope
- Such slopes would ordinarily be considered beyond the normal practical limit of a maintainable slope
- But the Spider Mower with integrated winch system is capable of cutting such slopes
